William Gilhool, D.O.

Doctor Gilhool is Professor and Co-Director of the Lancaster Avenue Health Care Center in PCOM's Division of Community Medicine and Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology. He is an attending physician at Metropolitan Hospital and an associate attending physician at Mercy Catholic Medical Center. Dr. Gilhool is also a consultant in gastroenterology for the Delaware Valley Medical Center. His publications include an article on "Endoscopic Diagnosis and Removal of a Duodenal Wall Gastrinoma" in The American Journal of Gastroenterology (1994), and he is a member of several professional societies including the American Osteopathic Association, The American College of Osteopathic Internists, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.

Dr. Gilhool's honorary appointments include fellowships with the American College of Osteopathic Internists (1981) and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia (1984). He received his D.O. from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1968.
