| Mental Health counseling programs at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine are offered through the Psychology Department. The MS program in Mental Health Counseling offers a dynamic curriculum designed to prepare counselors to provide assessment and psychotherapy services in a broad range of mental health settings. The MS program offers two options for degree completion: students can earn a 60-credit MS in Mental Health Counseling or a 48-credit in Mental Health Counseling. The program prepares students to work in the mental health field or to pursue further graduate training in counseling, psychotherapy, or related fields. PCOM students benefit from learning in an osteopathic medical school environment in which there is a campus-wide sense of serving and understanding the "whole person."
PCOM also offers a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Psychology through which students with a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field may complete an additional 12 credits at the master's level.
