Dr. Goldstein is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology, Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology at PCOM. Here he serves as Coordinator of Pharmacology for the medical school, and, within the Graduate Medical Education department, as Director of the Clinical Master of Science Program, and Director of Research. Dr. Goldstein is Clinical Research Associate in the Department of Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he conducts research to reduce post-surgical pain. He lectures in Pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
He is a Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology (FCP) of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
Dr. Goldstein serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, and Journal of Opioid Management; he reviews papers for these publications. In 2008, he also began to review papers for the Osteopathic Medicine and Primary Care Journal.
In 2007 he accepted the position of Book Review Editor for the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
His memberships include the Rho Chi Honor Society, Sigma Xi, American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, American College of Clinical Pharmacology, American Pain Society, and International Association for the Study of Pain
Dr. Goldstein received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science (now known as the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia). He was honored with the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching from that institution 1990.
