OB/GYN Goals & Objectives

  1. To provide didactic and clinical hands-on experiences in the management of the reproductive process, diseases and disorders of the reproductive system,
    post reproductive disorders, and primary and preventive health care for women.
  2. To provide the OB/GYN residents with progressive experience and increasing responsibility in patient care while integrating Osteopathic Principles and Practice
  3. To educate the students, interns and residents with the understanding that they are expected to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families and other members of the health care team
  4. To incorporate the NOELLE 575 Obstetrical Simulator which provides capabilities in ALS, Obstetrics and Neonatal Resuscitation protocols
  5. To incorporate the Laparoscopic Simulator which will enable the students and residents to perform laparoscopic gynecologic procedures with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent in the current and advanced surgery techniques
  6. To encourage growth and development of the OB/GYN residency program by aligning the PCOM program with quality institutions and competent, skilled physicians
  7. To provide a curriculum for the OB/GYN residents and PCOM students that promotes and assesses competencies in medical knowledge
