Research development at PCOM has a strong focus on interdisciplinary research programs. The plan is twofold: to enhance faculty scholarly activity and to incorporate more research into students' training.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) helps faculty obtain external funding to support their research and scholarly activities. The ORSP is also the central research administration office and coordinates reviews by the appropriate PCOM regulatory committee(s) for all proposed projects, including those not requiring external funds.
If you are a PCOM faculty member, please note that resources such as IRB forms and procedures, research policies, and links to research sponsors are now available only via Nucleus. Access is restricted to salaried faculty. The most commonly used forms can be found in the Research tab on the homepage. Additional information is also available via the Research & Sponsored Prog group.
The internal routing form, basic information about PCOM to fill in a sponsor's form (e.g., indirect cost rates), and other resources for faculty seeking external funding are available in Nucleus through the Research tab.
Additional information on research ethics, PCOM regulatory committees, applying for funding, and intellectual property is also available via the Research & Sponsored Prog group (icon at the top right of the homepage).
