Donald P. Masey, PsyD, Clinical Assistant Professor

  

Dr. Donald P. Masey is a clinical assistant professor in the Clinical PsyD program at PCOM. He received his PsyD in clinical psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed an APA-approved internship at the Temple University Hospital and Medical Center. He went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital.

At PCOM, Dr. Masey teaches behavioral medicine, the psychological assessment courses and biological psychology. In addition, he teaches practicum supervision classes and an elective neuropsychology course. Dr. Masey chairs and serves as a committee member for students' dissertations. As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Masey's clinical and scholarly work focuses on neuropsychology, psychological assessment, hospital consultation and liaison, and behavioral medicine.

Dr. Masey is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. He provides presentations to various organizations on topics relating to dementia, psychological practice in general hospital settings, professional relationships with physicians, and topics in neuropsychology.

In his leisure time, Dr. Masey enjoys exercising and visiting his daughter who is a psychology major at the University of Pittsburgh. Go Pitt!
