| Objective & Description |
|
The program touches on several topics that should be of interest to the primary care physician. These include: classification and treatment of asthma, distinction of laryngeal asthma from bronchial asthma, pulmonary aspects related to the metabolic syndrome, and key issues associated with pulmonary hypertension.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: |
- Describe NIH guidelines for asthma and its treatment
- Determine when anti-IgE therapy should be instituted
- Differentiate bronchial asthma from laryngeal asthma
- Identify pulmonary aspects of the metabolic syndrome
- Discuss key issues relating to pulmonary hypertension

| Physicians $125.00, Physician Assistants and other Health Care Professionals, $75.00. Registration fees for Saturday and Sunday programs are not refundable, nor can they be credited to future programs. |
