PCOM offers Post-Doctoral Certificates in Clinical Health Psychology & in Clinical Neuropsychology. These programs each provide one year (16 and 19 credits respectively) of specialty training to doctoral-level psychologists or current PCOM Clinical PsyD students that will enable them to render ethical comprehensive services in medical settings and to medical patients. These programs are designed to provide advanced, specialized training and post-doctoral hours/training that students may apply toward licensure in psychology (check with individual states for specific requirements) and/or toward subsequent board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Post-doctoral students receive advanced clinical training and supervision at clinical training sites throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan area. Post-doctoral students may be eligible for student loan deferment while completing their certificate.
Applicants to the program must have a doctorate in clinical psychology. Students completing their degree at PCOM may apply and may be eligible to have applicable elective credits (in clinical health or neuropsychology - see below) count toward the certificate.
