Dr. Hirsch received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Mercer University. She completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency program at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Hirsch served as a clinical specialist in the areas of nutrition support and critical care at Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta for five years. She also served as assistant residency program director for the PGY-1 residency program and student coordinator and preceptor for advanced pharmacy practice experiences at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Dr. Hirsch has served as an adjunct faculty member and guest lecturer at Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences since 2009. She has additional certifications in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and is certified as a BLS instructor. Her pharmacy interests include nutrition support, critical care, fluid and electrolyte management, and complementary alternative medicine.
Passionate about both teaching and pharmacy, Dr. Hirsch is very excited to join the PCOM-GA faculty as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice.
