Shari Allen, PharmD

  

Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Allen earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Most recently she has completed a PGY-1 and PGY-2 ASHP accredited residency, specializing in psychiatry, through the State University of New York, University at Buffalo.
During her residency she has had the opportunity to do a medical mission trip to Port Au Prince, Haiti, participate as a pharmacist immunizer, precept various wellness clinics at the school of pharmacy, and teach both pharmacy students and certified pharmacy technicians.
Dr. Allen’s research and scholastic interest are in the field of schizophrenia and substance abuse. She has most recently published on the topic of “Oseltamivir Use in Psychiatric Inpatients Taking Clozapine: Effect on Neuropsychiatric Events” and is looking forward to many more teaching, service, and research opportunities.
