Professor and Director of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
A 1975 graduate of Drexel University, Dr. Ehrenfeuchter (affectionately called "Dr. E") attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his D.O. degree in 1979. He then served as the first resident in the history of the profession in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
Dr. E completed the requirements for Fellowship in the American Academy of Osteopathy (FAA0) in 1990 and was Board Certified in that same year. In 2003, he was named a Fellow of the Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine of Australia.
He has taught for the past 25 years in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Philadelphia campus of PCOM, most recently as Professor and Vice Chairman.
In conjunction with his colleagues he has authored two chapters in Foundations for Osteopathic Medicine. He has authored numerous in-house published teaching materials and has lectured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. He has served on numerous committees with the NBOME and is currently the Chairman of the American Osteopathic Board on Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. He is also a Vice-President of the Deutsch-Amerikanishe Akademie fuer Osteopathie-DAAO (German American Academy of Osteopathy).
Despite all the academic positions that he has held, Dr. E. thinks of himself primarily as a clinician, actively involved in patient care, who just happens to teach.
