Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) established a School of Pharmacy at its Georgia branch campus (GA-PCOM) and officially opened in August, 2010. The PCOM School of Pharmacy has been granted Candidate Status by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2011 and plans to graduate its inaugural class in May, 2014.
The Georgia campus is a 19-acre site approximately 25 miles northeast of Atlanta in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The professional degree program in pharmacy will have a strong regional emphasis, with a focus on increasing the number of pharmacists in Georgia and the southeast. Dr. Mark Okamoto is the founding dean and chief academic officer of the School of Pharmacy.
Salary and appointment level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
